Celebrate Independence Day with a weekend of events that pay tribute to America’s favorite son Elvis Presley.

As Downtown Rahway experiences a Renaissance and its 150th Anniversary, you will share the excitement of being part of the ELVIS EXPERIENCE. The spirit of ELVIS will come alive as tribute artists from all over the country and the world come together during the festival and contest. Here are a few milestones 2008 brings to the Elvis Presley Legacy:

• 40th anniversary of the Comeback Special and Lisa Marie’s birth

• 50th anniversary of ELVIS’ induction into the ARMY

• 54th Anniversary (Grand Finals Concert) of ELVIS’ recording of “That’s All Right” at Sun Records ( July 5, 1954)

Thursday July 3, 2008	• Meet and Greet The Tribute Artists Tribute Artists will have a 10-15 min. solo performance time to sing and introduce themselves to the audience. ETA Merchandise for sale. • Preliminary Round Begins On The Main Stage. • The City Of Rahway will also be holding its First Thursday event with a Classic Car Show, Country Line Dancing, Arts and more in the UCPAC Area.	5:30-7:30 PM 7:30-10:00 PM
Friday July 4, 2008	• Meet and Greet The Tribute Artists Group 2 Tribute Artists will have a 10-15 min. solo performance time to sing and introduce themselves to the audience. ETA Merchandise for sale. • Preliminary Round Begins On The Main Stage. • The City Of Rahway is also celebrating its 150th anniversary with a carnival and a great view of the fireworks at 9:00 PM.	2:00 -4:00 PM 4:00-6:00 PM
Saturday July 5, 2008	• GRAND FINALS Contest/Concert - Top Ten Finalists with host BOB SHANNON from WCBSFM and special performance by SHAWN KLUSH "Ultimate Elvis® Tribute Artist" 2007 & RAY WALKER of the legendary Jordaniares. Music performed by the EAS BAND!	8:00 PM
